- Moisture Content: Typically below 12% (ensures proper storage and shelf life)
- Extraneous Material: Minimal foreign matter such as twigs, leaves, or dirt (usually limited to a percentage by weight, e.g., 2%)
- Immature Berries: May be limited by a certain percentage depending on the grade (higher grades allow for fewer immature berries)
- Mold and Insect Damage: Free from mold, mildew, and insect infestation
